PRIMARY PURPOSE: Our Community Pantry Team Lead oversees all aspects of the day to day activities in Our Community Pantry including facility operations, enrolling clients, scheduling volunteers, keeping the pantry stocked and collecting and reporting data.


  • Manage pantry staff and volunteers
  • Oversee pantry projects
  • Keep pantry stocked and well organized
  • Develop and monitor department budget and day to day transactions.
  • Place food orders using online shopping portal to ensure pantry is stocked daily
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct inventory audits regularly
  • Manage volunteer database as needed
  • Schedule client appointments as needed
  • Oversee weekly retail food pick up and canned food drives for the pantry
  • Schedule volunteer appointments as needed
  • Collect and prepare monthly activity reports
  • Oversee client management, pantry inventory, and point of sale systems
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and cleaning schedule as needed
  • Enforce safety protocol in accordance with all applicable policy and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Bachelor's degree and three to five years' experience serving in the non-profit industry. Bilingual is a plus. Prefer experience working with a food pantry or with the food insecure. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work under deadline pressure and meet deadlines. Possesses strong professional and decision-making skills and have the ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding, and fast growth culture. Proficient in Microsoft Office and can learn other systems quickly. Good communication and customer service skills. Able to work well with people of diverse backgrounds. Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Access to insured vehicle with valid Texas driver license.
