PRIMARY PURPOSE: As an integral member of the Philanthropy Operations team, the Donor Database Administrator will maintain the integrity of all donor information and gift giving records in NTFB's Blackbaud Constituent Relationship Management system (BBCRM). Additional responsibilities include performing fundraising analysis and reporting upon request and troubleshooting any BBCRM issues.


  • Manage the donor database system and reporting process
  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) for BBCRM for NTFB
  • Onboard new development professionals across the system
  • Generate dashboard, reports and data analysis that report on progress toward fundraising goals for presentations to staff, Board and committees
  • Provide ongoing training and support to development professionals in organizational data entry procedures and protection of data integrity
  • Implement a comprehensive, regular wealth screening and qualification of donors and prospects for the system at large
  • Implement all upgrades to donor database and integrate with other communications tracking systems
  • Support central repository of development resources, including on the development department's SharePoint site.
  • With IT, work to keep data secure, including server/cloud level security, keeping users and user permissions up to date, etc.
  • Act as the BBCRM interface with Blackbaud and NTFB IT Department.
  • Assure the accuracy of data within BBCRM by utilizing data entry standards and processes to enhance productivity.
  • Understand support and reporting needs for Gift Officers
  • Stay up to date on all software improvements and system improvements
  • Stay current on best practices in donor data management
  • Back up for gift entry when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires a professional with an understanding of fundraising concepts and the maximum output of a donor database. The BBCRM Specialist will possess                                                                        

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Business Administration or similar is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of proven donor database management experience, Blackbaud experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical team members
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work well with others
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working in a non-profit is preferred
